Siblingship testing is employed when obtaining a sample from the alleged father or mother is not possible. This test involves analyzing the genetic relationship between alleged siblings, distinguishing between full and half-siblings or half-siblings and unrelated individuals. While testing can be conducted solely between siblings, including the mother’s sample is recommended to enhance statistical accuracy and reduce the likelihood of inconclusive results.
